Tamil People are Fraudsters ? Hints Councillor Logan Kanapathi and Det. Const. Kajan

Tamil People are Fraudsters ? Hints Councillor Logan Kanapathi and Det. Const. Kajan

From the Toronto Police Investigation the following people are charged with fraud over Auto Accidents.

Pirapaharan Nadesu
Sipaskaran Sabaratnam
Nishanthan Ponnuthurai
Jeyakanthan Theivendran
Baskaran Tharmakulasingam
Mahaletchumy Pathmanathan
Sujeegah Kanagalingam
Ravigunathas Gunasingam
Vishnukanthan Sabapathy

Total of 9 Sri Lankan Tamil people had been charged for a calculated max possible loss of $77 million Dollars.

Cost to Ontario Drivers due to Fraud = $1,300,000,000 / year
Max amount milked by each individual = $50,000 / person
Staged accidents =  77
Possible number of individuals involved in Staged accident = 77 * 2 cars involved * 5 people per car = 770 individuals
Total People charged = 9 individuals
Maximum milked by these individuals from the insurance companies = 770 * $50,000/person = $38,500,000

Cost to Ontario Drivers due to Fraud = $1,300,000,000 / year
Unaccounted for from the "Cost to Ontario Drivers due to Fraud" = $1,300,000,000 - $38,500,000 = $1,261,500,000

Statements from the newspapers are listed Below:

Auto insurance fraud costs Ontario drivers as much as $1.3 billion per year
If pulled off, the phony accidents can be lucrative, said Sgt. Mike McCulloch — as much as $50,000 per scam.

Many of the accused hail from the GTA’s South Asian community. Of the 10 alleged ringleaders, who range in age from 32 to 57, most are Tamil, said Det. Const. Kajamuganthan Kathiravelu, who made a separate appeal to the Tamil community at Thursday’s news conference.

“This gives a bad reputation to the community,” said Markham Councillor Logan Kanapathi, who is Tamil. “These people have let down their families and their community.”
It remains unclear if the alleged ringleaders previously knew their recruits, Kathiravelu said
Of that total increase, $2.4 billion, or 80 per cent, came from accident benefit costs, an increase that “cannot be explained by factors that would normally be expected to lead to increased costs,” such as a higher number, or a greater severity, of accidents.
Now I want to review these details.  So it sounds as if $38,500,000 could have been scammed out by 770 individuals of which only 9 people are charged.  Is it not fraud to stage an accident.  Shouldn't the drivers or the participants of the staged accidents be charged for "Providing false testimony to peace officer", or "Providing falsify information" or "attempt to fraud/ fraud over 5k" etc. etc.. Many charges could have been laid to these 770 individuals.  Why was it not laid if $38.5 Million dollar had been scammed off.   The media and the Toronto Police charged 9 people out of potential 770 individuals that would've lied to the police to milk out $38,500,000.  Again, $38.5 Million dollar is a lot of money.  $50,000 dollar for each individual.  But police charged 9 people and tried to close off the books.
Det. Const. Kajamuganthan Kathiravelu (Kajan) must have provided his knowledge and expertise to this case.  Did he contribute to letting go of the other 761 individuals because they were Tamils, Kajan is also Tamil.  Did he do them a favour by not charging them?  If so, he should be punished.
What's the other possibility.  Well, only 9 charges are laid.  If they are all found guilty in the court of law, that means all this 9 people could have defrauded the system of 9 * $50,000)  = $450,000.
That means for a fraud worth $450,000 that is yet to be proven in court against the 9 individuals, the Tamil community overall gets Whiplash by media and the Canadian population?  Presenting and hinting to the Canadians that Tamil Community are fraud oriented individuals.  Oh yeah, sure when you use the word "Tamil" in the article in the content it was used, it does state that Tamils are fraud oriented person.  If in doubt, please go read all the comments from the newspapers following the articles.  Toronto police knew exactly how it would be portrait if the word "Tamil" and auto-insurance fraud are used together.  People want explanations to why their insurance rates are sky-rocketing.  Instead of finding the reasons, they creating a racial tension for hard-working Canadians to focus their anger towards Tamil people.
Logan Kanapathi, Councillor of Markham,  have you looked at the amount of people charged before making an appeal to the Tamil community from the position you are standing.  Why didn't you just ask the person who came to you to make the appeal, "How many people charged, what is the status, what is the cases, Why you are being asked to quote Tamil in a general auto-insurance fraud scene?  etc.. " before making public appearance appealing to Tamil Community as a whole.  You have put the whole community down Mr. Logan Kanapathi.  9 people does something wrong, you had branded and hinted the whole Tamil community in front of all the media.
Here is the victory for Toronto Police Outlined
Cost to hire a Tamil Detective to work on this particular case = $55k (Maybe more)
Cost to lay down charges for 9 people = Maybe $1,000,000 Project
Cost to have a Councillor Logan Kanapathi and a Tamil Detective Constable Kajan to accuse the whole community of being fraudsters = Priceless

Why husband walks 15 meters ahead of wife?

Why husband walks 15 meters ahead of wife?

I couldn't refuse to notice the walking pattern of senior immigrants, especially Indian/Sri Lanka natives.

It was a very warm and sunny day.  I was driving by a prominanet park in New Jersey.  I saw a couple, around 60-65 years old.  The husband was walking exactly 15 plus meters ahead of wife.   I was able to sense wife having hard time walking, she was taking slower steps.  She was not in physical shape to walk as fast as her husband.

I also noticed that the husband has his head up when he is walking, as if he is pride of his achievements in life.  I've been noticing many couples like this around the neighbourhood.

I'm sure culture has some affect to it.  Is it culture, or is it psychological behaviours?  Is husband shy of walking beside wife? Does husband feel that he is leading the family and want to express it in some form when they are in outdoor scenes?  Is husband feeling that he is giving protection to his wife by walking ahead?  Does wife feel safer, comfortable, and relazed walking 15 meters behind her husband?  Is husband not patience enough to stay back and walk slowly with his wife?

What ever it is, I think the family is very happy together and have lived a very happy life.  I parked my car and watched how long they going to walk like this for.  I noticed they came to a traffic stop and it was green light.  Husband stayed behind and waited for his wife to catch up to him.  As the wife catches up to him at the signal, the light turns red.  Once the light hits green light, husband walks in same speed with his wife to the other side of the road.  After walking few meters with his wife, husband starts to gain momentum and again pauses and keeps a 15 meters distance between his wife.

First I though leaving the wife behind 15 meters is annoying.  Then I realized the husband has his full concentration all around the surroundings.  He is guiding and protecting her.  Wife walks slowly and calmly knowing that guardian is protecting her steps.

Coup process initiated in Sri Lanka?

Feb 17 2012

Coup process initiated in Sri Lanka?

The opposition party led by Ranil is engaged in violent propaganda in public meetings.  Protests are being triggered in South of Sri Lanka.  North and East are still recovering from the war loss.  NE is not ready for any sort of anti-government voicing now.  They may be free; they've paid a hefty price in the past for voicing their democratic views.  I'm sure NE people wouldn't want to interfere in a national policy yet.  Soon time if protest and violence spreads throughout the island, then Tamil people will join the momentum as their heart is very genuine in protecting the national and cultural integrity.

Sri Lanka has increased the price of oil recently which had triggered wide range of protests.  Sri Lanka has many reasons to raise the price of oil.  It is not the interest of the Government officials to increase the living costs at this junction.  The current government is busy tackling many issues in all fronts of Sri Lanka.  Ever since the defeat of LTTE militarily, SL is undergoing tough economical battle.  Nation was doing much better in global arena before the defeat of LTTE.  Isolation of the LTTE had brought many overdue problems to the doorsteps of Sri Lanka.  All previous governments had hit the snooze button on the issues.  They’ve all come back at the same time.

Sri Lanka as a whole is under threat.  It seems US had sent a strong warning signal to SL last week.  SL needs US clearance for its oil shortage yet to be faced by the country.  Refineries in SL cannot handle oil from other countries, and if US decides to put a ban on Iranian dealings then as a country we are screwed.  Of course, US could have provided an easily solution to this small nation, yet it decided to send a strong warning signal to the country.  Whatever that issue was it is not good for the country as a whole.  Maybe US want to see Rajapakshe’s family leave the office.  I don't think US would care whether it was Ranil or Rajapakshe family that’s ruling the country. There is some sort of a policy change towards Sri Lanka recently in global arena.  I don’t think it’s related to human rights violation or war crimes.  I don’t believe those are the factors, because USA and the other countries were watching the war right from their office via satellite.  The war progressed more than a year; US knew exactly how it was conducted.  Their interests weren’t to neither avoid nor verify if war is conducted properly.  Their interests were to bring an end to the war.  They could have seen war crimes or human rights violations all along, yet they stayed silenced.  So I’m sure war crime or human rights issues are not behind the recent policy change towards Sri Lanka.  The policy of the US does seem to have the blessing of India.  It wouldn't be possible for US to step in and send strong warning signal to Sri Lanka without the gates being opened by India.

Ranil's party had lost the election with an overwhelming defeat by Rajapakshe’s party. They don't have the right to carry forward mandates of the people in violent manners.  We are third world country, education is what we need. We need to educate people and let them know why such prices are higher.  If we all stand together, a foreign country cannot bully us.

JVP and TNA are joining hands to go against the ruling government.  TNA was representing the interest of the Tamil people, and promised to campaign for political freedom for the Tamil people.  They are still being elected for the sole reason of them being aligned with the LTTE’s policies.  LTTE is dismantled; people have put TNA in their heart assuming LTTE policies are being carried by TNA.  If people realize TNA has dropped LTTE's mandates, I wouldn’t be surprised to see Rajapakshe getting full support in the Tamil districts.  Tamil people never gave mandate to TNA to overthrow the ruling government.  Their mandate was clear, to find meaningful political solution for Tamil speaking people of Sri Lanka.  If TNA joins hand with opposition in overthrowing the government, and if they do succeed, what is next? TNA going to negotiate a political solution from Ranil?  If that was the case, then TNA is just a political party and must be treated by the people as political party alone.   People should wipe out any dream assuming TNA is carrying forward LTTE’s policies.  TNA should back away and keep low in this issue.  They must not join hands with anyone in overthrowing any elected officials.  If they do that now, they will do it against if Tamil people have to be punished by someone.  If they do want to contribute, then they should align themselves with the ruling government and fight off the enemy at the gate first.

Ranil using the rising of the oil price as a slogan to create turmoil is a joke.  He was well educated, he should have projected that oil and living cost in Sri Lanka would be on the rise after the embargo on Iranian Central bank by US.  In fact, he should have joined hands with ruling party to negotiate something with the US in finding alternative.  People are tired and exhausted, doesn't mean overthrowing the government is a solution that can be pushed onto the people of Sri Lanka.  If Ranil believes that Rajapakshe is misleading the people and must be stopped, then campaign on that at the next election.  Don't try to create a turmoil based on the current foreign policy changes and the interests of first world countries.

I think it's time all citizens of Sri Lanka stay united to chase away the greed and evil players standing at the gate.  Maybe Rajapakse won't deliver anything to the Tamil people, that don’t mean we have the right to destroy the future generations’ prosperity.  If we don’t stay united now, we will pave a road for our children to suffer economically.
